Board Update on the 2012-13 District Budget: March 29, 2012Dealing with Prolonged UncertaintyFor your calendar: Budget Information and Q & A Session: Monday, April 23:15 p.m., Carpinteria High School Cafeteria (Note: attendance is not mandatory) On March 21, the Governing Board held its fifth study session on the 2012-13 District budget. In its previous session (March 9), the Board approved issuance of layoff notices to reduce certificated staff by 13.6 “full-time” equivalents. As explained in the March 21 Update, the Board needed to take action to meet a statutory deadline of March 15.
